Undergraduate School: Fisk University

It is hard to pick just one. There are three that automatically come to mind: David Million, Timothy Jost, and Benjamin Spencer. All of them have played an intricate part in my development as an attorney thus far. Each of them is a expert in their particular fields which makes them passionate and engaging in the subject areas they teach. Moreover, each one of them is always open to questions or just general conversation about the topic. In fact, each one has an open door policy when it comes to stopping by their office. Moreover, I was even given their cell phone numbers just in case I had a question about something. This sort of openness is something I appreciate and think makes them great professors.
Lexington is very scenic. I love to go for long runs and weekend hiking is always great.
I was continuously told that law school is one of those places where you want to choose the school that makes you feel most at home when visiting. That is what brought me to W & L. When I first visited, I the beauty of the campus provided a feeling of relaxation which was completely different from the other law schools I visited. More importantly, I was one of those people who attended to a small high school and a small undergraduate school where I found that one on one attention and small family-like environment is important for overall academic success. Therefore, it only made sense for me to stay in the same type of environment in which I had been successful. The small yet diverse student body allows for small engaging classes where you feel that your professors are making an assertive effort to ensure your understanding and academic success.
I am involved with a couple of organizations, but I think my most meaningful experiences have come from Law School Football League (LSFL). After a long week, on Friday afternoons, all the law students go out on the lawn and play football. Of course we have teams, but it is a great stress reliever and it fun to just play (or watch) the games with your classmates.
