Study Abroad Opportunities
Exchange Program
Washington and Lee offers an exchange program with Bucerius Law School in
Hamburg, Germany. Bucerius Law School is Germany’s first private law school,
and its focus is on preparing lawyers for global practice. All Bucerius
students are required to study for one semester at a foreign law school;
U.S. law schools in the Bucerius consortium send selected students for a
semester of study in Hamburg. Classes are taught in English.

For the 2004 - 2005 academic year, the
law school hopes to offer additional exchange programs with the following

Summer Study Abroad
Washington and Lee does not sponsor a summer study abroad program, but
W&L law students may earn academic credit for coursework taken as part of an
ABA-approved program
offered by any other law school, with prior permission
of the academic dean.
