The upcoming inaugural online issue of the Journal is themed around our symposium, "Climate Policy Advice for the Obama Administration," and so the JECE will accept for consideration any submission with a topic and substance that is focused on or significantly related to climate or energy policy advice for the Obama Administration. All submissions should be of scholarly quality and comport with current Bluebook standards. For stylistic matters not addressed by The Bluebook, JECE refers to The Chicago Manual of Style.
There is no specific length requirement, although the submission should be long enough to present its thesis and assertions logically and adequately. The Journal will accept for consideration any submission from professors, practitioners, and student authors provided the submission meets the standards set forth above.*
Additionally, the Journal of Energy, Climate, and the Environment (JECE) welcomes article ideas. We sometimes have willing authors lacking only a worthy topic – if you have an idea related to climate change or energy policy on which you would like to see an article, please contact us.
Hard copy manuscripts submitted to JECE will not be returned unless accompanied by a self-addressed, postage-paid envelope. All manuscripts must be submitted with footnotes and may either be submitted in hard copy or by e-mail. Please send all manuscripts

* The JECE retains the right to refuse publication for all submissions that do not meet any or all of the aforementioned publication standards. The substance of these standards are applicable to all contracts related to any manuscript being considered for submission, as well as contracts already accepted for submission if subsequent collaboration with the author fails to produce a manuscript meeting these standards.
