Linda Hirshman, who was a Frances Lewis Scholar-in-Residence at W&L in 1995, delivered the forty-ninth annual John Randolph Tucker Lecture on October 10th, 1997, entitled "Hard Bargains". The talk examined what she called "a new vision of sexual regulation between men and women."
