Maureen Bridget Cavanaugh




Biography

A graduate of Swarthmore College, Cavanaugh earned her M.A. and Ph.D. degrees at Cornell University before graduating from the University of Minnesota Law School. She was a visiting professor at Florida State University College of Law before joining the faculty at Washington and Lee, where she was an Alumni Faculty Fellow from 2001 to 2002 and the John W. Elrod Law Alumni Association Fellow in Teaching Excellence from 2002 to 2003. At Washington and Lee, she taught Federal Income Taxation of Individuals, Corporate Tax, Taxation of Mergers & Acquisitions (Advanced Corporate), Employee Benefit Law (Pensions), and Tax Policy.
