Allan W. Vestal

Biography

Allan W. Vestal earned his bachelor's degree and his juris doctor from Yale University. He practiced law in Milwaukee and Cedar Rapids before coming to teach at Washington and Lee School of Law in 1989. At Washington and Lee, he taught commercial law, partnership and corporation law, and real estate law. From 1999 to 2000, during his final year at Washington and Lee, he served as an associate dean.

In 2000, Vestal joined the faculty of the University of Kentucky College of Law where he served as dean for eight years. Since June, 2009, he has been Dean of Drake University Law School in Des Moines, Iowa.
