Cynthia R. Mabry
Biography
Cynthia R. Mabry earned her B.A. and J.D. degrees from Howard University and her L.L.M. from New York University School of Law. After graduation from Howard University School of Law, Mabry clerked in federal and state courts in the District of Columbia and Michigan. She also practiced privately, and served the public at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority and the Federal Railroad Administration.
At Washington and Lee, Mabry taught Family Law, Civil Procedure, Advanced Discovery, and Advanced Family Law. Besides Washington and Lee University School of Law, Mabry has taught at New York University School of Law, Syracuse University College of Law, the University of Florida College of Law, West Virginia University College of Law and the University of the Western Cape in Capetown, South Africa. She is also lead co-author of the textbook Adoption Law: Theory, Policy and Practice (W. S. Hein & Co., 2007).
