Tarlton Library at the University of Texas Law School has announced a new online resource, Justices of Texas 1836-1986, which highlights the contributions of the 160 Judges who have served as members of the Texas Supreme Court and Court of Criminal Appeals from 1836-1986. This resource can be accessed at Texas Justices and is one component of Tarlton's Texas Legal History digital library which can be accessed at Texas Legal History.

The National Center for State Courts has created a state court link directory. This page provides judicial branch links for each state, focusing on the administrative office of the courts, the court of last resort, any intermediate appellate courts, and each trial court level. To simplify finding court addresses, they have created new pages for some state trial courts to provide comprehensive contact information and will gradually add links to specific district or courthouse Web sites on those pages rather than on this index page. The site can be accessed at NCSC.

Google and the 12 universities in the Committee on Institutional Cooperation (CIC) announced last week that they have entered into an agreement to digitize up to 10 million bound volumes. The deal represents a two-thirds jump in the number of libraries and universities participating worldwide in the Google Books Library Project, from 15 to 25. The CIC includes the University of Minnesota, University of Chicago, University of Illinois, Indiana University, University of Iowa, Michigan State University, Northwestern University, Ohio State University, Pennsylvania State University, Purdue University, and the University of Michigan and the University of Wisconsin-Madison (the last two universities had already signed on with Google Book).
