Mike Gardner and Steve Mammarella came in Fourth at the Final Round of the American Bar Association National Negotiations Competition, which was held in Boston, MA from February 12-15, 2009. Please join the Moot Court Executive Board in congratulating these gentleman on their impressive achievement.
The Board is proud to announce that Russell Kruse and Bart Gengler took Second Place at the Final Round of the American Bar Association Regional Client Counseling Competition, which was held in Richmond, VA from February 13-15, 2009.
Selected students at Washington & Lee may participate in national competitions with expenses covered by the school ONLY IF the Moot Court Executive Board approves the participation. Typically the students selected to represent the school in regional competitions are winners of the same intraschool competition. Teams are selected to compete in the ABA Appellate Advocacy Competition and the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition based upon the students' success in the John W. Davis Appellate Advocacy Competition, expressed interest, and other intraschool moot court competitions.
