Furniture and More Walls

9/8/06 - More acoustic paneling is going in along the walls, the recessed lighting has been installed, and the woodwork for the judge's bench and classroom seating is being installed.

Carpets

8/23/06 - The carpets are down, but they been covered to protect them during the rest of the construction.

Ceilings and Walls

8/17/06-8/18/06 - The floor to ceiling windows have been set, the ceiling has been painted, and acoustic panels are going up in the jury room and judge's chambers

8/11/06 - After a span where it didn't look like a lot was going on, even though it was, visible changes have started to occur again as workers have hung and finished drywall on the ceiling and begun insulating the walls.

The Floor Takes Shape

6/13/06 - These photos show the floor after the concrete was poured over the metal frames shown in the previous series. Metal stud wall framing can also be seen along the walls.

Floor Preparation and HVAC Work

6/6/2006 - These photos show metal floor framing in place, over which concrete will be poured to change the circular layout of the seating levels.

These photos show the duct work for the new heating and cooling system, which will also service the needs of the classrooms.

This photo shows workers preparing one of the large window openings that will bring natural light into the Millhiser Moot Court Room.

Demolition and Site Preparation Pictures

5/22/06 - These photos show the Millhiser Moot Court Room nearly stripped bare as demolition and site preparation has proceeded at a brisk pace. The top left photo was taken just inside the main courtroom entrance.

Outside Pictures

5/22/06 - A large scaffolding has been erected outside the Millhiser Moot Court Room and a doorway cut through the wall to allow construction workers access to the job site from outside.
