Stephen Busch

The event will take place on Monday, November 29 at 4 p.m. in Classroom B.  A tasting of Virginia wines will follow at 5 p.m. in the Faculty Lounge.

Mr. Busch will speak on how lawyers interface with the wine industry in Virginia and elsewhere.  In addition to other topics, he will discuss franchise laws and how it affects the wine industry when a state does or does not have franchise laws in place.

Mr. Busch is a partner at McGuireWoods LLP in Richmond, Virginia. He has worked in the alcoholic beverage industry for 30 years, representing clients in regulatory, licensing and franchise litigation matters. In addition, his experience includes defending clients in toxic tort, environmental, products liability and professional liability cases.
 
Mr. Busch is also the current president of the Virginia Bar Association.
