Charles E. Burks Rare Book Collection

 

Above, a reproduction of a painting of Charles E. Burks and a 1965 notice from the time of the donation of the Burks library.  The collection is now located in the Powell Archives. A more complete biographical sketch of Burks was prepared by the library staff in 1977.  

The collection has been inventoried and cataloged in Washington and Lee University's online catalog, Annie.  Judge Burks' personal catalog is also available online.
