Network Connection Checklist

Law Technology Services supports both Windows and Mac operating systems. Windows 7 is preferred for PC to take advantage of all network resources. For Mac, we recommend OS 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) due to a known incompatibility with 10.7.4 (Lion) and WPA2 networks.

• Both PC/Apple machines must be fully updated to connect to the secure network. To configure your laptop for use with the secure network, please visit: http://managementtools.wlu.edu/XpressConnect/oncampus/.
• There are three ways to connect to the network; a wireless connection anywhere in Lewis Hall (WLUSec), a wired connection available in the classrooms or via The Stable (https://thestable.wlu.edu).
• The Stable is the most secure and efficient way of accessing network resources from anywhere in the world you have an internet connection. After a one-time plugin installation (http://www.citrix.com/lang/English/lp/lp_2309126.asp) simply login to The Stable using your network authentication and you will have the ability to access L drive resources, as well as printing and your personal H drive.
• PC: To connect to University printers, please visit: http://law.wlu.edu/technology/page.asp?pageid=1284, Printing is $0.10 per page for black and white.
• Mac: To connect to University printers, please visit: http://law.wlu.edu/technology/page.asp?pageid=1254. Printing is $0.10 per page for black and white.
• Email is provided by Microsoft and is located at www.outlook.com. For students who wish to configure email on their phones (Android/iPhone supported): http://law.wlu.edu/technology/page.asp?pageid=1317.
• Microsoft Office 2010 (PC) and Microsoft Office 2011 (Mac) is available for all students for free on the previous page.

Additionally, Law Technology Services is available to answer any questions Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Law Technology Services is located in room 314.
