The Office of Career Planning and Professional Development will be hosting a career symposium in Washington DC for current law students and recent graduates on employment trends and professional opportunities for lawyers in the Washington DC area. Lawyering in Washington: Beyond Law Firm Practice will feature panel discussions with lawyers from across the spectrum of federal government practice, as well as those practicing in the international arena, and in non-profits, trade associations, advocacy groups and consultancies.
The symposium’s objective is to assist law students and recent graduates in the exploration of a wide range of career opportunities, and to give them the contacts and other practical tools to pursue those jobs. There will be ample opportunities for informal networking and individual discussions with the panelists. The event is open to all W&L Law students, as well as recent alums in the DC region.
Registration Fee: $35
Registration for the conference will include
breakfast, morning and afternoon refreshments, and a buffet lunch.
