About
Alora Jiang is an associate at the Federal Public Defender's Office for the Western District of Virginia, where she represents indigent defendants in federal criminal litigation. At Washington and Lee University School of Law, she teaches the Rights of Prisoners Practicum as an adjunct professor. Previously, Alora represented life-sentence inmates before the Virginia Parole Board while working with the Virginia Capital Case Clearinghouse. She has also co-authored a book chapter on Ukrainian corruption for the Handbook on Corruption, Ethics and Integrity in Public Administration, published July 2020. She received her J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law and a B.A. in International Relations from the College of Willian and Mary.
