Bobby Martin is an Adjunct Professor at the Washington and Lee University School of Law. A 2012 graduate of W&L Law, he returned to teach Legal Research in 2021.
Bobby previously served as an officer in the Judge Advocate General's Corps of the U.S. Navy for six years. He served in many roles on active duty, most recently as an Assistant Professor of Military Law at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. He was also stationed in Japan, where he was a staff attorney for various Navy commands in the Asia-Pacific region, including the largest overseas naval base in the world, nuclear aircraft carriers, and other naval vessels. Bobby currently serves as an officer in the Selected Reserve, supporting the Navy's Region Legal Service Office, Navy District Washington.
Prior to joining the Navy, Bobby clerked for the Honorable Joseph R. Goodwin, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia. He also worked as a Law Library Fellow at W&L Law, assisting professors with their legal research and scholarship.
Bobby received his bachelor's degree in Romance languages in 2009 from Washington and Lee University. In law school, he served as an editor of the Washington and Lee Law Review and graduated with honors. He is a member of the State Bar of Nevada.
