About

Michah Smith is Associate Professor of National Security Law at The Judge Advocate General's School in Charlottesville, Virginia, where he has taught courses on the legal aspects of cyber operations, intelligence law, the law or armed conflict, the Geneva Conventions, and the law of sea, air, and space. He was previously Chief Commissioner of the United States Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland. He also held positions as Special Victims' Counsel and Assistant Staff Judge Advocate with the U.S. Air Force in the United Kingdom, after receiving his law degree from the University of Richmond. Smith is a member of the bars of the Supreme Court of the United States, the Supreme Court of Virginia, the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, and the U.S. Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals.
