Scholarship Increases

Below is additional information regarding our increase of student scholarships.

After Completion of Second Year:

As the above table documents, on average, for the Law Classes of 2009-12, of the students receiving scholarship awards at enrollment, 62 had their awards increased after their second year by an average amount of $1979.36 with a median increase of $1,945.00. 61 of these increases were $5,000 or less, with a low value of $500 and a high value of $10,275.

Increased After Completion of Both First and Second Year:

Furthermore, for the Law Classes of 2009-12, of the 100 people who had their scholarship increased at some point during their time at W&L Law, 54 of these students had their scholarships increased after both their first and second year.

Broken down by class year, for those students who had their scholarships increased after both their first year and second year, the average total amount of their increase was as follows. The median amount for all such increases is $3,750.00.  48 of these two-year increases were $5,000 or less, with a low value of $1,500 and a high value of $21,875.
