Welcome to the Office of Career Planning and Professional Development! We are dedicated to serving individual students and alumni as they further their legal careers. In addition, we work with employers to help them find the right W&L Law student or graduate to meet their hiring needs.

We assist students and alumni as they

• assess their interests, skills and goals
• investigate employment options
• network with graduates and practitioners
• target employers
• perfect job-search tools and techniques
• reassess strategies in light of personal and market changes

We offer employers an array of services to attract qualified candidates through

• on-campus interviewing
• off-campus interview programs in Boston (new in 2006), New York, Chicago, Texas, Atlanta, and Southern California
• off-campus interviewing in Charlottesville, Virginia, in late August
• video-conference interviewing
• resume collection
• creative marketing to students through receptions and presentations
