| Annual, student/faculty interdisciplinary research project that explores a discrete theme in German law and legal culture. This research makes use of German film, literature and history as a way of casting critical light on German law and legal institutions. |

An interdisciplinary examination of the legal status of foreigners in post-war Germany. Seminar discussions focused on German constitutional law, administrative law, anti-discrimination law and select German Federal Constitutional Court decisions (Mehmet Deportation Case; Muslim Ritual Slaughter Case; Headscarf Case).
