OUTLaw selects its officers by the majority vote of those members present at its elections meeting. Elections are held at the end of the Spring semester, with the exception that any officer positions unfilled at the end of the Spring shall be filled by a special election in the Fall. In addition, should the majority of the members of OUTLaw on its membership roster call for an officer election, then an election will occur at the time requested by the membership. OUTLaw's bylaws can be found here.
Currently, officer titles are organized under a chair system:
Executive Chair – Leads the organization and makes final decisions on its behalf
Tegan Peterson, peterson.t@law.wlu.edu
Executive Vice Chair – Participates in the decision making process of the organization, takes the lead on certain projects, and assists in performing the functions of the Executive Chair or in performing them directly his or herself if the Executive Chair is unwilling or unable to make a decision
Kristopher McClellan, mcclellan.k@law.wlu.edu
Publicity Chair – Publicize organization events, news, and awards
Liz Zamorski, zamorski.e@law.wlu.edu
Treasury Chair – Responsible for maintaining the organization's budget and dealing with the Student Bar Association in all budgetary matters including reimbursements and financing events
Marc Zappala, zappala.m@law.wlu.edu
Administrative Chair – Responsible for maintaining the organization's website and recording discussions at meetings
David Barnes, barnes.d@law.wlu.edu
In addition, the organization's officers operate in collaboration with each other and tend to work jointly in carrying out the work and goals of OUTLaw.
