The DC Program

W&L Law offers an extension of its experiential curriculum with a residential program in the nation's capital. A limited number of students serve as externs with a qualifying organization in Washington, DC during the fall semester. They also take an externship seminar and accompanying practicum and legal profession course established by Washington and Lee in Washington, DC.

In this video, W&L Law students, professors and extern supervisors talk about the school's residential program in Washington, DC. Students take courses in W&L's innovative experiential curriculum, but live and work in the nation's capital, where networking opportunities abound.
