Bar Preparation Program Excellence in teaching and personal attention distinguish our bar prep program from others.
W&L Law's bar prep programming includes academic courses throughout the entire three years of study. "Legal Writing," "Legal Method," "Core Skills and Concepts," and "Virginia Law and Procedure" are classes that aid students not only with the bar exam but also with their internships and future careers.
Our commitment to our students' success starts during pre-orientation and does not end at graduation. We provide expert group training, individual tutoring, and proprietary materials at no cost to our students as they prepare for the bar exam. Our bar prep programs have been highly successful. For example:
- From 2020-2023, W&L Law students achieved an 89.5% average first-time pass rate nationally. This figure is especially significant when considering that our graduates accept jobs all over the United States.
- On average, our graduating classes from 2020-2023 have taken the bar in 24 jurisdictions per year.
- At W&L Law, we prioritize our students passing the bar and getting employed: for the Classes of 2021-2023, 94% secured a full-time, long-term bar passage or J.D. advantaged job (by 10 months after graduation).
Excellence in teaching and personal attention for every student have always been distinguishing features of W&L Law. Because of the individualized approach that W&L Law offers to our students, guidance is available for any bar exam in the nation.
