Christelle Molima Bameka
Visiting 2021-23

Together with the Center for International Education, the law school is hosting Dr. Christelle Molima Bameka for a two-year post-doc study. She is a scholar in the area of child soldiers and international criminal and human rights law and will pursue a research project on the penal responsibility of child soldiers for atrocity crimes with a focus on the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Dr. Bameka holds a degree in Law from the Catholic University of Bukavu, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), and two master's degree from the Université Lumière Lyon 2 and the Université Pierre-Mendès France de Grenoble, France. She recently defended her doctoral dissertation at the University of Geneva, Switzerland, on the criminal responsibility of child soldiers in the context of their social and community reintegration in the eastern DRC. 

Thijs Bouwknegt
Visiting Fall 2021

Dr. Thijs Bouwknegt is historian of mass violence and transitional justice. He is Researcher at the NIOD Institute for War, Holocaust and Genocide Studies in Amsterdam (part of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences, KNAW). At the NIOD he is part of the research group Holocaust and Genocide Studies and the Transitional Justice Programme. He also is the coordinator of the MA-programme "Holocaust and Genocide Studies" at the University of Amsterdam (UvA).

Catherine Ordway
Visiting Spring 2016

Senior Fellow, University of Melbourne. Ms. Ordway is a Professor of Practice (Sports Management) at La Trobe University and lectures at the Masters level in sports management subjects. Ordway is also a Senior Fellow at the University of Melbourne, teaching Sports Integrity and Investigations, in the Master of Sports Law with Hayden Opie in 2014 and 2015. Ordway is a Senior Consultant with Snedden Hall and Gallop Lawyers in SHG Sport. Ordway has previously been a Senior Lecturer at the University of Canberra and developed the new "Performance Integrity" subject for the 2015 Masters of High Performance. Ordway also lectures in the Masters of Law subject "Doping in Sport: Global Issues" at the University of New South Wales. 

Mr. Hendam Rjoub
Visiting September 9 to October 8, 2015

Legal Clinic Instructor and Legal Researcher. Mr. Rjoub has his MA in Public Law from Birzeit University in Ramallah, Palestine. He is currently working in clinical legal education at Hebron University. The creation and development of the clinic is supported by the Human Rights and Good Governance Program of United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Rule of Law Program, United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Mr. Rjoub will be studying our various clinical program operations and teaching in support of his teaching goals and management of the clinical program at Hebron University.

Ms. Fjoralba Caka
Visiting September 16 to October 14, 2015

Assistant lecturer "European Union Law and Internal Markets"Ms. Caka received her LLM at the University of San Diego School of Law, in Comparative Law while a Fulbright Student Scholar in May of 2013. She is currently working on completion of her Ph.D at the University of Tirana, Faculty of Law on the subject "The notion of state aid that distorts competition according to international law and practice." She will use her time at W&L for finalizing her research and defending her dissertation on her return to Tirana.

Dr. ALBAN KOÇI
Visiting October 11 to November 7, 2015

Professor of Criminal Law and Director of the Criminal Law Clinic. Dr. Koçi has his Ph.D in Criminal Law from the Faculty of Law at the University of Tirana. His Master's was also in Criminal Law on the topic: "Ne bis in idem". Dr. Koçi is a licensed lawyer at the Chamber of Lawyers in Tirana. He recently started the University's Criminal Law Clinic and will be collaborating with Prof. J.D. King and Jon Shapiro for development of clinical instruction and methods in his program. Dr. Koçi will also visit various criminal law classes to observe and compare teaching methodologies.
