About
Andrew Christensen is the Head of Digital Initiatives and Outreach at the Law Library and teaches Legal Research at Washington and Lee University School of Law. His responsibilities include managing the W&L Law Scholarly Commons institutional repository and the W&L Law Journal Rankings, as well as the Law Library's patron engagement efforts and special events. Andrew joined W&L as Faculty Services Librarian in the fall of 2013. In that role, he coordinated library support for professors' research and instruction. He was previously a librarian at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC, where he provided reference services, taught in the first-year legal research and writing program, and contributed to outreach and educational programming.
Andrew is an active member of professional organizations, including the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL), the Southeastern Chapter of the American Association of Law Libraries (SEAALL), and formerly, the Law Librarians' Society of Washington, DC (LLSDC), for which he served on the executive board.
In 2008, Andrew received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he served as Executive Editor of Virginia Law Weekly and as Senior Production Editor for the Virginia Law & Business Review. He went on to earn a master's degree in library and information science with a certificate in law librarianship from the University of Washington in 2010. Andrew holds a bachelor of arts in linguistics and French from Duke University.
