About
Julie Youngman teaches in the Skills Immersion - Litigation experiential program at the Washington and Lee University School of Law. She is Senior Attorney with the Southern Environmental Law Center (SELC), based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Julie focuses on litigation in state and federal courts. Her cases involve protecting water quality and quantity, coastal resources, and endangered species, and promoting environmental justice.
Prior to her current role at SELC, Julie taught at W&L as a professor and director of the Law, Justice and Society interdisciplinary program. Her scholarship has been published in several law journals, including the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review, Indiana Law Journal, and the Journal of Legal Studies Education.
