John Lawrence "Larry" Manning retired as a Partner from the Washington, DC office of Jones Day in 2009. Manning practiced with the firm for over 40 years, since receiving his law degree from the University of Virginia in 1968. In addition to teaching courses on transnational and foreign law at Washington and Lee, Manning regularly teaches a course in law at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.
