About
Alexi Pfeffer-Gillett joined W&L Law in 2023. He teaches Civil Procedure and a Consumer Protection Law seminar, among other classes.
Professor Pfeffer-Gillett studies the legal contours and practical effects of modern consumer and employment contracts. His scholarship has appeared in the University of Pennsylvania Law Review, the Minnesota Law Review, the Duke Law & Technology Review, and the California Law Review.
Before entering academia, Professor Pfeffer-Gillett clerked for Judge Mary M. Schroeder on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and worked at Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP, a plaintiff-side securities firm in San Diego.
Professor Pfeffer-Gillett earned his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, where he received the Thelen Marrin Prize for Law Journal Writing and served as Senior Articles Editor of the California Law Review. He also holds a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Virginia and a master's degree in public policy from Brown University.
