About
Andrew Christensen is the Deputy Director of the Law Library and teaches Legal Research at Washington and Lee University School of Law. He oversees the Law Library's research, reference, and circulation services, manages the W&L Law Scholarly Commons institutional repository and the W&L Law Journal Rankings, and leads the Library's patron engagement and special programming efforts. Andrew joined W&L Law as Faculty Services Librarian in the fall of 2013, and has since held positions as Outreach and Electronic Services Librarian and Head of Digital Initiatives and Outreach. He was previously a librarian at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC.
Andrew is an active member of professional organizations, including the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL), the Southeastern Chapter of the American Association of Law Libraries (SEAALL), the Virginia Association of Law Libraries (VALL), and formerly, the Law Librarians' Society of Washington, DC (LLSDC), for which he served on the executive board.
Andrew received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he served as Executive Editor of Virginia Law Weekly and as Senior Production Editor for the Virginia Law & Business Review. He went on to earn a master's degree in library and information science with a certificate in law librarianship from the University of Washington. Andrew holds a bachelor of arts in linguistics and French from Duke University.
