Requirements Prior to Matriculation

Medical Insurance and Health Information

Incoming students to W&L Law must submit a Medical History/Physical Examination Form, an Immunization Record, and a Student Health Insurance Form. These forms are now available from the Student Health Center website.

W&L requires all students to carry personal health insurance and submit at the beginning of each year both an on-line waiver/enrollment form to First Risk Advisors and the above Health Insurance Form with a copy of all insurance cards to the Student Health Center. If you do not have health insurance coverage, you have the option of purchasing a student health insurance plan. You may access information about this plan at - select W&L from the drop down menu and click on "Review Brochures." In addition to submitting the three forms above, students will receive an email from First Risk Advisors later in the summer with information about the mandatory waiver/enrollment form, which you may complete online.

Final Transcript

An official final undergraduate transcript must be submitted to LSAC no later than June 30. Your transcript must indicate that you have qualified for your undergraduate degree before registration in August; it is permissible for your degree to be conferred after registration if all other degree requirements are completed.  If you have completed graduate work, we recommend you also provide your graduate school transcripts, but it is not required. 

Transfer Students - Law School Transcript

Incoming transfer students should submit an official law school transcript showing their final 1L year grades to LSAC.  Submit this transcript to LSAC no later than June 30.  If it is not possible to submit this transcript by June 30, please contact the Office of Admissions at

Required Sexual Assault Prevention Online Training

Complete your mandatory Sexual Assault Prevention online training by mid-August.  More information regarding Haven training, as well as the link for completing it, will be emailed to students in late July.
